hot66 wrote:Robin ... take it as a yes we do want the same again . Last year was a great success and all the old DDK clm'ers really prefered the campsite to all the others we have used over the years. CLM had started to lose its shine a bit having been going since 2004 but I'd put 2018 as one the best

What we will do by sept is get a good indication of initial numbers 8)
Yes agreed, the agreement with TD is simple, it's our pitch and the only reason we wouldn't get it is if we say no. So all be reassured that the pitch is ours.

I've been asked by a few folk here on DDK and also some from Porsche Club Ireland for ferry prices for Classic Le Mans next year.

I'v espoke to Nutt Travel who are a ferry specialist here in NI and work with clients all over the UK and Ireland and here are some indicative prices. Note that all ferry prices will be lower if "saver" the non-refundable type ticket is chosen rather than these which are flexi tickets. Rita, from Nutt Travel says just call her with your specific requirements and she'll happily provide a quote - If calling mention DDK or PCI or my name Robin Titterington

Nutt Travel work on all ferry routes not just the ones priced below - please see their ferry map below. As with the ticket prices from Travel Destiations I'm not making any profit, just happy to help as have done for the past few years. The choice is yours - I don't mind or really care how folk get to Le Mans but as I was asked to get some pricing thats what I've done.

Below are the indicative prices vs online prices as of this morning.

Dover to Calais on the 2nd July
Return
Calais to dover on the 6th July
Car with 2 people £130 flexible return - Online Price £160
Camper up to 7m £165 flexible return

Hull to Rotterdam on the 2nd July at 2030hrs
Return
Rotterdam to hull on the 6th July at 2100hrs
2 berth inside cabin
Car with 2 people £410 economy ticket return - Online price £477
Camper 6m x 3 m £460 economy ticket return

Rosslare to Cherbourg on the 2nd July at 2030hrs
Return
Cherbourg to Rosslare on the 8th July at 2100hrs
2 berth window cabin
Car with 2 people £1038 flexible return - Online price £1314
Camper 6m with 2 people £1064 flexible return

All these prices are subject to availability and can change

Sooner the booking is made the cheaper the cost

Kind regards

Odd they don't show Plymouth-Roscoff as that's the route of choice for people in the south west.

HI Keith - I think the map may just be generic? i'd suggest thatif you or others are planning to go to CLM 20 that it would worthe getting a few prices i.e. online, travel agent, ferry specialists and then pick the best price. I'm sure Nutt Travel would have a price for the Plymouth-Roscoff route. I'll amend hte ad to show Rita's email for ease of communication.

Son Guy and i are in - but will have the VW t4 Dehler camper again this time- so looking forward to this.
Last year brought 911 [ good] but missed out on the DDK/PCI craic as we did a B&B [bad]
i just looked at Irish ferries Dublin/Cherbourg Robin - same days - same price[ish] maybe a little faster and for some [not me in Cork] in Ireland shorter drive. :)
