And a big dirty 6pot burning fossil fuels at an alarming rate

As others say ... For me, with a classic / toy, the engine makes the car

Saying that, purely driven by co car tax etc ... I am looking at hybrids for the next family daily

I'm not going to be in the market for one of Moggy's creations. For me it's not the classic experience I want.

However, Moggy's cars/ posts have single handedly changed my perception of electric cars and their likely future in my life.

Porsche announced this week that it expects 50% of its production to be electric by 2023.

That's 6 years.

I love the work that Moggy has done. His is a really great demonstration of what can be done with what is off the shelf. It demonstrates clearly that the car manufacturers could do if the really wanted to, and what they must do to keep up with the likes of Tesla who are not carrying the burden of previous IC engine development.
So Moggy uses classics as the platform, great and novel way to get peoples attention. And nice to look at. Be fair, these are not the most rare or sought after models. Go for it Moggy, I would do the same ( to an imp) if I had the chance.
In the mean time I will continue to work with and develop the next generation electric motors and controllers and to drive my Fossil fuelled 911 for as long as I can. Nothing can substitute the awesome sound of the flat 6 accelerating hard between 5k and 6k rpm and beyond !!

I would hope the DDK pack to be open minded and be generally interested with what another human is doing alongside anything Porsche and specifically early cars, whatever the cylinder number or fuel.

Moggy to me is fitting this definition, good luck to him.

Hot makes a good point, Moggy's cars have made me think harder about all electric over the last months.
This change is coming to us all progressively, and will be mainstream very soon.
Just needs 400 mile range and 5 minute re fuel.
The right engineers will soon crack it, the need is to crack free charge from the sun and re generation with a very high level of efficiency.
Bet the Goverments of the world are thinking about finding ways to get the money that will dry up.

Which is exactly why its taken as long as it has to get this far, a hell of a lot of money will have to be clawed back from somewhere.

I'm not convinced they'll find it that hard to do. Governments are usually quite good at finding ways to tax people!
