Tom, weren't they originally anodised? Also they do come apart very easily into their four sections to redo the pistons.

Mike,
Yes they were originally anodised. I am having them done in matt black caliper paint. The pistons I have been refurbished and haven't seen much use and have been advised not to separate them with the feral on the brake pipes.
The only issue was really cosmetically they were poor.

Can someone please advise on the correct finish for the following items:
1. Upper cam covers
2. Fan housing

Pretty sure it should be a Chromate finish.

looking like it will be another of ur great cars Tom ...........got a bit of a shock this week when i had the 2 fat rubber oil pipes ,RHS engine ,changed on my '86 turbo.................price of rubber must be going nuts on the commodities markets !
if ur un any doubt they re not cheap !
