This week I have gotten myself some wheels and before I tare the booth down I decided to paint them up. While I was at it, I wanted to give the front and rear bars another coat of clear to chop out the edges from the black lines I painted.

Here is the video.

I was just putting some lights up in the garage and looked down. I had to take a pic :)

That looks a real peach, superb and as you DIY'd the lot quite inspirational.

I painted my 911 in a single car garage in 1989 and plan to re-paint using a plastic 'garage' like you have in a bigger space..Learnt a lot from your killer videos.

Lots of work there and it shows.

Fantastic! :)

Well this week I have been busy getting my hands greasy again, and I have started tearing down the engine.

Hi Jeff

Excellent new film clip, hope you don't find too much bad news when you split the cases....
Looking forward to the next instalment...:)

Me too, but after some of the dodgy work I have come across already, I am not holding my breath.....

This week I have finished tearing down the engine, which meant splitting the case and seeing what else I inherited for these previous dodgy engine builders.

Another week of messy work. This week I went through to check that all the parts are within spec and in good condition, then I get to cleaning them up ready to be shipped off for machining.

This week I had big plans to get the dash and the fuel tank painted up, but once I started in on the fuel tank, I realised it was more work than I planned.

Crackng job Jeff. Really enjoying this. Wish I'd known about that stripper thing you used when I got rid of all the under seal on mine. Took chuffing ages just with a wire wheel...

Looking forward to the next instalment

Back out in the garage this week, and I got into painting the dash. After a lot of requests I included a new segment called "Fun Facts with Mrs Jeff" :D

Well since my car was looking all nice and painted, I decided it was time to cut it up again. This week I get stuck into mounting up the front mounted oil cooler.

Well this week I have spent a lot of time and it doesn't really feel like I have done very much, but I now have headlights, indicators and horn grills fitted to the car. It is actually starting to look like a car again :D

Great going Jeff, and 'Mrs Jeff' looks a great garage buddy to have!

Why didn't you dry fit all the lamps etc before all the painting?

Still, a great update.
Where's the engine?
