If you go that way I'm sure Tim will be happy to share his current map.

I've just had an email reply from Albertronics, the manufacturer of the 123 device. Apparently the drive gear for the distributor changed after 1977 so it wouldn't work for my car. Would be an option for anyone looking for earlier cars though.

Gary and/or Tim. Which style of universal trigger wheel did you go for? I assume you mounted it to the crank pulley and not the fan one? I'm about to place an order.

look at my ( thread started by Gary) megasquirt thread page 3. there's details of what Gary did. Mine uses a genuine ford trigger wheel fitted to a disk which then centres this onto the crank pulley. There are 2 threads cut into the pulley, I used these to secure it.

Hi, Do a search on here for the thread that I started and Tim finished on Megasquirt. Everything you need (and lots you don't !) is in there. My trigger wheel was mounted to the crank pulley and is about the same diameter. I made up some little spacers and then fixed it to the pulley with some M5 screws. Clearance to the engine mounting bar is tight but workable.

Yep!
Please do a thread on it all.
I had all that less the jolt box as I was going full injection and dist free ignition at the time.
(As with Gary and Tims route)

I'll do a thread with pictures. No doubt I'll have lots of dummy questions along the way too. I did consider exchanging the Jolt box for a Megasquirt which can do everything in case I do go EFI in the future, but having read a few threads it appears you're better off keeping the functions separate anyway.
