I tried to get my entry in for Harewood Hillclimb (July 5th) over the weekend but it wouldn't let me. It seems the entries filled up some time ago and they already have a long reserve list Really gutted

So I think I'll have to get my adrenelin fix with a track day somewhere

Anyway, to avoid future dissapoinment I thought I'd get signed up for the Goodwood event Aug 1st. But can I find how to enter?? can I **** Please enlighten me as to where I'm being so stupid and point me in the direction of the entry form.

5th is a National Championship event, so will fill up really quickly. Have you tried entering for the 4th? It's just a clubbie, and there were still places last time I looked. You are likely to get several runs unless they fill up soon.
Sorry - I don't know about Goodwood, I haven't tried to enter since they went posh - I know my car will not get through their noise test!
Had a great day at Gurston Down - I had forgotten how great a buzz that hill is, and I was 2 secs off my pb..........
Try entering Wiscombe Park in July in one of the Nat B Classes - you'll love it - it's like a short tarmac stage!

I've entered the Saturday event. Just gotta track down some Kumho V70a super soft tyres now and I'm all set, it seems they're rarer that rocking horse poo (Demon Tweeks and Camskill are both a no - Kumho don't stock them anymore ). I need a pair of 205/50 15 and a pair of 225/50 15 for the rear if you know of any. If not, what are the viable alternatives?

I checked out some incar footage of Wiscombe Park. Nice I'll see how we go July 4th and if all goes well will get ourselves booked into Wiscombe.

I'll probably camp over on the Saturday to watch the pro's on the Sunday.

I'll pop up and say hello on the Saturday and watch how harewood should be done in a 914! My outing there a couple of weeks ago was a bit of a disaster and ended in me retiring through a poorly car. Still managed second in class - but that was nothing to boast about with being 8 seconds slower than 1st in class and only 3 cars in my class :D

I'm struggling to find Kumho's in the size I need, but I've been suggested to go with Hankook z209 in supersoft 200/580 15. They're going onto 7 inch rims so should be fine. Any experience with these? Hankook is usually a good tyre (based on my rallying experience with them) and with the supersoft compound they should be OK for sprints/hillclimbs I reckon.

although I'm not sure what compound they come in.

Sorry, don't know anything about either of them. I've been in ModSports so long that I've lost touch with the road tyre world.

They're not road legal, they are racing only. I think I'll go with the Hankooks, they seem to have a good review.

4 Hankooks have been ordered in supersoft, looks like I'll have them for the weekend so I can do a little testing and setup
