Not sure what you mean, that's where it lines up with the mounting access holes on the inner frame and having just done 700 miles of mostly motorway driving it was very usable in that position.

Saw Jon' and this car at Beauliue yesterday , its looks lovely in the flesh and deserved the attention it was getting.

Ah, well that's just a cock up on my part then! [FLUSHED FACE] I'm too used to fitting flag mirrors which have the base extending back under the mirror.
