Great car, I lived my 964 and it looked a lot like that on the outside. My wife loved the colour combo - apparently she has shoes like that (black on the outside, raspberry on the inside)!

A dark dusty exterior revealing a deep crimson labyrinth - saucy

- WOW! Well bought James.. 8)

Great spec (actually, the perfect spec as you know..) -and that interior just adds to the uniqueness. Not sure about it being a daily though... looks too good.

I'm looking for a similar spec car - but the prices have already gone ballistic. I did think Euro prices were higher than UK, and have been searching US for my [must have] LHD...
I will start looking in europe again now. Any tips for searching?

Cheers

Finally.

A 964 was always your destiny James, glad you finally realised.

Great story and a proper car, very German. There's something about a properly German 911..

Now go and get that cheap 3.4 996 so you don't spoil that lovely 964..

This is SUCH a German market car! First of all: start with an absolute billy basic car, then add few well chosen options, and 1 wiiiiiild colour choice. Never mind about the wife and sports seats- her bum would fit ON the seat rather than in it so, a standard one for the right please!

It looks absolutely stunning!

Jo is driving it as well? How was the drive oop Norf?

Kind regards,

Bert

James

Congrats, she looks a stunner, pity the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

I too when through the same dilemma a couple of weeks ago. My daily is going back in Dec.14 and fancied a old air cooled to use as a daily, not worry about it, just drive it and enjoy the journeys to work instead of just being like one of the other lemmings around, mundanely driving to and from work each day

Decided thats what I am going to d with the 73T.

Why do people keep posting 'too good to be a daily'?

Surely if you have a really nice Porsche that you really like driving then it's PERFECT for a daily?

You can't take those memories of it sitting in the garage doing nothing with you when you're dead.....

Never knew there was so much 964-love around here. Looks like a nice car there Mr66 - and a shopping adventure to go with it. V Cool

Have to agree with Jason, just because you're planning to use a car as a daily drive doesn't mean you're going to run it into the ground, once it's maintained properly and kept clean on top and underneath there is no reason it can't stay in great condition.

@ James - I see Ninemeister are doing a great deal on underbody wax treatments at the moment.
