Thanks all for the links/explanations - much appreciated
Any thoughts on running a compression/leak-down test - I'm reading some conflicting opinions on whether it is necessary as the electronics should provide some clues, however...???

I think a 996 GT2 is truly a supercar bargain. With a couple of minor tweaks it gives you Zonda performance. But they are a handfull. Never driven a 996 GT3 except for a clubsport version that had a twin turbo conversion. Personally having bought into the air cooled cars like you guys I cannot live with the interior of any 996. After all that is what you sit and look at. It is just cheap and naff. For me it has to be something that I can enjoy at sensible speed. The rest I will save for the track.

The last two GT3 Mk1's here in Singapore, not to mention a very nice Mk2 plus a rare 964RS:

I'm afraid things have rapidly deteriorated over the last few days and the kidney had to go:
No longer 'Porsche-less' in Singapore
