When I have to drive lots of miles over a highway the little helmet (I made myself) is not very pleasant to wear. The wind gets between the leather earflaps and the ears and when it rains the rain hits you in the face... Hard!

So I bought a retro helmet and put a seventies bubble shield/visor on it. And then I sprayed the helmet in the Black Betty colors:

And then she suddenly stopped... :(

No fuel is getting to the carburetors. My diagnosis: fuel pump (a blue Hardi ticka-ticka-ticka-tick pump) defective (it doesn't ticka-ticka-ticka-tick anymore  ).

No spare fuel pump, so she had to be transported and the choice was to a garage (of my choice) or to my home.

I decided to get her to the garage so they can fix it. It's not a very hard job, which I easily could have done myself, but because of a chronical lack of time I decided to put her on transport to the repair shop...

Hopefully I can pick her up next saturday

Perfect seventies and café racer looks, I think!

And while I was at it, I've put some helmet speakers in:

Time for a new -or rather improved- exhaust system!

The CSP Python I had was nice, okay and of perfect quality, but could be improved. And because I always wanted a single tip 'Sebring' exhaust I visited some guys in the northest part of the Netherslands at EPS. They make SS custom exhaust systems...

I visited them today and they had som great ideas. So we tried some of those and I decided to go for a barrel type racing muffler...

The result is astonishing: not only visual wise, but also (and most of all) sound wise!
First we checked what the possibilities were:

The end result:

Last friday I took part in the 'Targa Passagio' (or 'tunnel challenge')...

In this event Porsches drive through tunnels in and around some cities in the Netherlands and Belgium (Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels). Last friday it took us through the tunnels in and around Amsterdam and we had a blast!

Just got a nice picture from my friend in Davos (Switzerland) and I thought I'd share it with you...

ready for my departure from (the heated garage in) Davos for my drive to Peschiera (1000Miglia): the navigation system wrapped in clingfilm to protect it from snow (!) and rain...
