Thanks, the iron worms have had a fair old feed though, if you look at some of the other pics.
The whitish bit on the roof is not shine - it's the original colour coming through

No, it belonged to someone I know who had it since '75 and never got round to tackling it. He now needs the space.
We haven't actually bought it yet, he said just take it away and see what you think.

bobs car is all finished and in daily use now. decided against the sprints (until the summer, perhaps?!) but really happy with the results... especially the stance!

oi, those are NOS Michelin XAS boots - i had to drive miles to pick them up and they look wicked on the car!
They don't catch unless you're on full lock and try to mount a kerb. The sprints have skinnier treads up front and are my fav., but it's bob's daily, and he was worried about overly skinny rubber in wet weather
. wait til the summer, i'll slap the skinny and fats on and drag it to an event (vw, of course
)
i've put the sprints on my type 3 til then
mind you, although they're skinnier at the front, they're still quite tall - i'm not a big fan of low-profile rubber on my cars, i'm more of an old-school balloon-tread kinda bloke

The Sprints do look lovely on the Notch... nice stance too.

the blind is a 60s beetle extra from australia - it just happened to fit perfectly.
