And today i tool the headers off again. Swapping to ssi's you see.

One set of unused as new obx stainless long rsr manifolds for sale.

I took to stripping the rest of the interior including what turned out to be avery soggy rear seat pad. The ns seat well was swimming. Water obviously finding its way in reminded me of running the car with 3 inches of newspaper in the footwell to soak up the waves.

Going to go for a very minimal interior with bare panels. Will strip and paint the interior and refit the seats n some trim.

Pulled the headlining and decided to chop the sunroof carrier n roof skin out. Will hunt for steel but may settle for cf.

My rear seats are on there way to proper rotten. Whats unusual is the water was pooled underneath the porsche underseal! The underseal was lifting and has about 3mm of black wet foamy gunge under it running with water.

All over the rear there are pockets of rust in bubbles from the surface paint. Wierd. First thought are whether its coming through from the back but i dont think so, the metal is solid its just surface eaten its way in.

Bit of a warning to anyone with a cabin lesk or sunroof leak as mine used to have 2" of water in the footwells after rain.

Yes. Keep it up. I like reading these especially when you are getting your fingernails grubby. Of course I can't help as I just bought an off the shelf car......

The Restoration Threads are the very best bits of DDK, read by a lot of people, so keep going and never slow down!
