Does this car need to run an oil cooler up front or have I missed spotting it , love the location of the oil breather catch tank.. I hope imitation is a sincere form of flattery. I have to copy that too

There is a 3.2 cooler in the standard position under the right front wing, the oil lines run through the car.

Nick, slightly OT, but are you in Tielt next week, for the TAC Rally? There will be a few of us Brits there in the historic class. The tarmac is very slippy if it is at all damp!! Great fun.

Hi Keith, yes! Slowly Sideways will be doing the Saturday stages from SS5 onwards. We will be arriving on Thursday evening, doing the recce on Friday, although that shouldn't take too long as there are only 4 stages in the loop. We are staying in the Hotel Orchidee in Aalter. Thanks for the heads up on the tarmac!

O/T I've got some SSIs to fit to my SC but need to sort a silencer. How loud do you reckon that Dansk is, as I like the twin out look, but don't want problems on trackdays

I'm sure the twin outlet would be too loud, even on a 105 dB day. Early cars fitted with SSIs and stainless single out Dansk silencers struggle at 105, but an SC will be tested at lower revs, and has a quieter induction system so you should be OK with a single outlet. .

If I may add to that:
My 3.2 on 2.4 headers, Leisritch (sp) two in/three out opened up is 105 dB at 2/3 red line.
Stock induction.
Sounds just great, but right on the noise limit for a hillclimb, but the silencer exhaust is about 15 years old now at least.
