Hi Tom, no it was more on the 914 forum that there seems to be a lot of negatives I just thought I'd chuck my (unworthy) 6 peneth in.Of course I'm not out to rock the boat or upset anyone.

I'm SURE that the organising guys, Bruce/ Ian etc will be putting on a bloody good do, in fact I'm booking myself but, as others have said--and I must admit, I agree---t'would be nice to know what we're getting for our well earned sheckle.

I'm actually down at the hotel next week end for the south Wales Xmas DO, which I'm getting into practice for now with a chilled glass of grouse.

Cheers

Ian

Agree on all points Ian . I've parted with my sheckle already ( several of them actually ) having booked up on Day 1

Right guys - had a chat with Bruce et al yesterday evening to discuss the International meeting. Looks like the rooms are nearly full - but there aren't many UK 14'ers booked in......

That would be me! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to this years event, I have a family canal boating holiday booked, this was the only week I could get everyone to agree on.
Have fun, see you next year.

Sorry you can't make it John,
I'll miss the sound of your skreaching tyres to remind me I'm coming near a junction. Maybe you'll have 6 power by International next year ?
Are you planning to be out at any events this year ?
Regards

Sadly I don't think I'm going to be ready by then & I steadfastly refuse to turn up in a water-pumper!

I'm gutted, being as I'm about 40 miles from the damned thing - but if anyone needs somewhere to stay & doesn't mind the 40 mile trek we should have a spare room......... just promise not to come back & rave on about how great it all is..

Really wanted to do this too, especially as it's on the doorstep, but my meagre holiday allowance has all been allocated towards other events and holidays.

Maybe although don't hold your breath, that's a long term project competing with a number of house decorating projects for my time.

Yes I would like to join at least one proper Porsche driving event this year, any suggestions?
I'm going to the 912 rolling road session in April. Well, my car does have a 4 cylinder engine.

I have been putting off booking until I know that my car's new engine will be ready and have some miles under it's belt. Spoke to Mike this evening and he hopes it will be I am just hanging fire for a little longer.

Can't get a better driving event than the DDk Tour in September. Costs a bit for the fancy hotels etc. for the full wknd but worth every penny and more. Greta driving, great social.
Not sure where it will be located this year. I haven't seen any posts about it yet.
