Classic Insurance ?

My 1956 Continental Mark II convertible required an appraisal because of the high value. It's only one of three known factory authorized convertibles.

My '55 Continental Cabrio didn't require an appraisal even though it was a high dollar value. Since values of Porsches can easily be established, there was no need.

The other cars I insure with Hagerty required nothing other than agreed value. In effect, I'm betting there will be and incident, and they're not. The bigger my bet, the better the payoff.

The odds are in their favor, hence the low rates.

Me too - never used their website (posted it merely for reference) - always called them and spoke directly to someone on the other end and they've been more than helpful.

I've been thinking its time to up my Agreed Valuation ... problem is the premium goes up accordingly

A number of pictures, details of mods and value. Once in receipt they email to confirm value

Yup, some photos and I also sent some links of similarly aged cars for sale in Germany (thanks James)

The photos were enough however.

James, for comparison I was quoted circa £305 for an agreed valuation of £65k or, for another £30 ish more, an agreed value of £75k (3k miles per annum with several named drivers)
