Found a great cafe in Barmouth.
Didn't seem very effective though... :(

Lots of signs but seemingly no cameras. Anyone think different?

Our first DDk event and I'm hooked.
Great cars and an even greater bunch of people.
Thanks a million to Gary and Rich for organising everything.
You did a great job on the route details and you must have sold your soul to the devil to get such great weather !

Fantastic pictures as well Paul. Putting a cover on my 914 overnight suddenly feels quite nerdy when you see it in a picture. 'Stealth Cloak' 914 will be back at an event near you !

It was quite infuriating for the photographer in me. We were driving fast and I kept seeing these wonderful scenes but couldn't shoot them.
The driving was great but at that pace it keeps you pretty occupied.
I missed loads of superb photos because there wasn't time to write them to a memory card.
But... I did capture them in my memory and those recollections live with you forever. 8)
And you don't get those by staying at home.....

 tell me about it ....

I was speaking with J.P. earlier, sounds like a cracking weekend, but that was always going to be the case.

I think this is the first big DDK event I've missed, and I was certainly thinking of ewe all racing around having fun.

Glad it went well :) .

Gary, Rich, thankyou. you obviously spent a great deal of time (and petrol money) sorting out the weekend routes, the hotel was a fine choice and to top it all, the weather..... how`d you do that then?

Here`s the James brothers (damn those pesky power cables)

And here`s some dodgy video

All the other photos we took are similar to some of Pauls, but rubbish, so I won`t bother you with them. He does take a smahing photo though, does Paul, doesn`t he, but best not to mention it, for fear he might have trouble buying hats

This was our first National DDK event, we had an excellent time, both driving and meeting the faces behind the names.

Thanks again to all involved, no doubt this bad attack of clutch calf will clear up in the week :)

Cheers, Mike and Hayley.

Well hopefully everyone got home safe (or will be home soon).
The cars all proved quite reliable. Bob had some troubles with his alternator but resolutely drove on with the warning light on. Simply engage 'limp home mode' and put your foot down. :salute:
Sad he had to leave a little early but he need to ensure he got home before dark because he didn't have enough amps for any nocturnal action.
Aside from that, the worst calamity was someone (who shall remain un-named) unable to get into a locked glovebox. Barry, where were you?
