The prices from the ACO website:
http://www.lemansclassic.com/2008/uk/in ... llets.html
General Admitance: Rate on the door: €49
Pre Booked: €42
Paddock Pass: Rate on the door: Not available
Pre Booked: €25
Grandstand: Rate on the door: €30
Pre Booked: €8
So assuming you want grandstand access and paddocks a total of €78 Euros pre booked.
The Porsche Club price is €80 and doesn't mention grandstands. I'm also giving the laps a miss and I can take or leave the centre parking so I'll book direct.
If you are considering the laps read the notes on the second page of the PDF (on Nicks site) about insurance.
It's a shame that Porsche seem to be planning for an empty field this year!

Er it's £100 for 2 laps isn't it? The 3 referred to is relating to the notes on page 2 - note 3 is about insurance.
I was looking forward to the track laps. However having tried to get foreign trackday insurance before I'm thinking of giving it a miss - bearing in mind the people going round are not going for a trackday - and may have a different attitude to how they drive - don't know - just thinking aloud - are many of you lot going to do it?
I know IB did a lemans trackday a few weeks ago and I may save myself for that next year instead

Anyone can buy, these are the non member prices
The website purchase process is painful. I just gave up, but will try again later when I have more patience

Yeah, I just tried too and did the same. Think I'll wait until I get home with a bit more time.

remember this is for the FULL 24Hrs circuit, not the bugatti circuit a trackday is held on ....... BUT in 2006 the driving standards on the 'Parade Laps' was poor. Unfortunatly it looks like 2004 was the last time you could enjoy the track laps .

Oh well looks like I missed out on this then...
But still it was a good weekend away.. Just wish now I got a lift with some one on the track
I have just emailed back to the French guys ( not that it will do any good ) but to point out that if they don't look at what they are doing the best Porsche car park will be in the car parks and campsites around the Porsche area!
let you know if it has any reply..
Oh well lets enjoy it for what it is.. and to be fair I think other comments in the past are right.. enjoy it till it becomes like Le Mans one huge great p155 up and not about the racing. Sad really..
Still looking forward to it..
I think I might make more of an effort to go to Spa Classic instead next time.. Some thing different.. AS Paul Defender47 said it's just as good but with less people..

it does seem strange the cheque or bank transfer option. Still, looking forward to seeing whether they can surpass the straw hats from 2006

So can they take UK cheques? Doesn't seem to qualify that at all.

You'd just book the 'week-end ticket reservation', '2 track rounds' and 'Porsche Club Parking'

When trying to book the Grandstand (on the ACO site) it says that it's reserved for members...
