found i wasn't pushing the clutch down anough (legs too short) am getting the hang of it...........or at least i thought i was(guess i was getting a bit cocky so the car decided to show me who was boss) untill i got stopped at a set of traffic lights and couldn't find 1st gear
by the time i found it the lights had changed again much to the annoyance of the traffic behind me..............................oh the shame!!

I normally pull away in 2nd when that happens (lots of revs and dump the clutch). In your 914 you could probably spin the rear wheels for a while if you tried it! Just don't put it in reverse by mistake (have done that as well)!!!
