Drop me a PM and I'll give you a few options and show you some images of what can be done.

Not an easy case to refinish of its got any deep scratches but it could come up very nicely

I restored a blue one and it's not perfect but nice

Question for the cognoscenti.
I wan something late 70s /80s retro cool with a brown/orange touch to go with Jaffa SC [1978 SC with 84 3.2 motor]- had thought a G- shock might be fun [they came out in 1983] - any thoughts/opinions/other ideas?

Tricky to get hold of but you could keep a lookout for one of these.

I wonder if any of you horologists out there could help me.

I'd like to buy a nice watch as a gift for my 18 y.o. son who has just won a place at university to read architecture. He's design conscious (but not a label-slave) and it needs to be robust enough to cope with an active teenager's life.

My budget isn't huge; say £3-400, (although it probably wouldn't be that sensible to have him wear anything really valuable anyway) and I wouldn't be adverse to a used watch, so long as it would be solid and reliable.

Any suggestions would be most welcome,
