…apparently Porsche Salzburg had 4 917Ks allocated to them for the 1970 season: 011, 019, 020 and 023 but I also understand 042 was a Salzburg chassis too?

Next door has just bought a customised Buzz.
Even on air bags!
It looks fabulous but he says a bit short on range, but his drum kit fits in the back and his 5 year old son thinks it is a spaceship. :)

i think the buzz is the same platform as our old Q4 etron ( a lot of the vw group cars on this platform .. identifiable by rear drum brakes )

from memory our real world range was 190-225 miles depending on weather

Next door's Buzz is about that, but suits his driving. His wife uses it a lot esp now she drives with re-gen on the accelerator pedal.

regen on accelertor ( B setting ) is a horrible way to drive IMHO , hate it with a passion... also brake lights come on when your off the throttle so if you see some leccy cars continuously flashing up their brake lights thats why

I don’t mind it, and they don’t come on if you are super smooth on the accelerator. I have done tests in the dark and the break lights don’t come on if you are rally, really smooth. Our ID3 doesn’t have 3 regen settings like our eGolf did - it’s one of the few things they got right

Unfortunately, leccy cars make bad drivers worse - getting surprised by max acceleration with no noise and then lifting off in a panic. Or flying up a slip road at max chat then chilling in the outside lane in everyone’s way at 60-65mph
