Having seen (at the Fairmile last week) some of the parts that are going into Mike's engine I can only say that the attention to detail is stunning.

BTW i can supply for 3.0 RSR pistons
Thanks Oliver, I think those are CP's but the engine builder seems to have a thing against American pistons. They may be billets too another no-no, something to do with the grain direction.
Have to say I like the American prices though, even with this exchange rate
Out of interest I hear that the guy who set up CP used to be at JE before he went on his own.

Stunning attention to detail as always Mike and documented with your usual skill too.

Oh dear. Neil's worst nightmare. You, with more time on your hands.
Do you contribute to his rent & rates?
I trust you do at least make the coffee for him while you're clogging up his working day?

While waiting for the new pistons and liners to arrive to begin the engine build, been amusing myself detailing the dash and steering wheel. The only picture of the interior of a 'werks' Martini car I can find, is one of the Targa Florio RSR in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (although I won't even begin to go into the history of that particular car!) That's what I'm going with, a few more finishing touches to go yet.

Mike - you need to put a space between 'licht' & 'sch' (for schalter) on your label
- & you already know my thoughts on that steering wheel centre ...

Currently writing this from Switserland, the switser deutsch pronunciation does indeed sound a bit like lichtsch rather than licht. It might be that Helmut, the mechanic at the Targa, had a swiss mum?

well if the spelling and wheel centre were good enough for the Porsche Museum.............
and before anybody points it out, the paint on the wheel centre just hasn't started cracking up yet, and as I painted it, I'm sure it will very shortly!

thanks Tom, the labels are only trial one's, still looking for the right dymo machine to give me the correct size.
The kiddy's talking dymo machine at £7.99 (including batteries) gives the right spacing but doesn't come with full stops or hyphens.
Oh the problems I have with this build
