Is this the 699kg full carbon 912? Still some dieting to go to match Ritchie King's (NCAP untested) 630kg 911...

Personally not sure on this.
Front wheels are too wide for the wing lip, with some lock on and a good compression on the road will give some nasty interference.
Also, no joint to the sill/wing bottom, could be awkward if a repair needed or am I being too practical?

Yes but I think Carbon Fibre is probably a little bit more rigid and safer, than drilling holes everywhere and making your interior look like Swiss cheese?

So is this a real thing? A Carbon Fibre 912 monocoque? I wonder if there's an interesting cycling style carbon vs steel ride dynamic story to read....

I'm not convinced it is a real car, more computer antics?
Interior mirror stalk looks like a fishing rod length etc and also the wheel details and other fine details Winston spotted.

Looks like it’s the roof and rear wings in addition to all the bolt on bits.
Heck of a machine.

I read the word ‘Restomod’ and switched off. The moment I see that word in print, the term ‘style over substance’ springs to mind. Everything a classic Porsche isn’t.

But it’s not style over substance though is it Keith. The styling changes from a stock car are minimal. This one appears to be more about pursuing lightweight.
I agree the plethora of unobtainable restomods becomes a bit wearing after a while as I couldn’t afford one (and I’d rather replicate the best bits myself).
However, it’s always interesting to see peoples different take on making a really good 911 with money no object. Sometimes they have good ideas (the tuthill 911k fascinates me), sometimes they are crap but I think dismissing all restomods is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

No, I mean I simply detest the term 'restomod' – it's a personal thing. I hoped I'd never see it mentioned in Porsche circles, but it's become a buzz word in certain Porsche magazines. And so many 'restomods' are all style over substance, doing little if anything to improve on the original product. Love the basic concept of he Tutthill car, but the interior is awful - to me it spoils the car and is in my mind no improvement over the original, or a factory hot-rod (911R, for example).
But as the saying goes, opinions are like belly buttons - we all have them, and long may it remain so.

Adding lightness to a Porsche is a noble pursuit. There's a whiff of Emporer's new £310k clothes when Caterham will build you a light car for £32k. Maybe that's why I'm not a fan of restomod. Not quite as offensive as the nauseatingly overused iconic though
