Yes.
Terry had the only open Nomad made and it was built with a BRM engine (hence 1/2 the points)
I think Terry got it with an iron Essex V6, so that went for the 3.2 which ended up with me though not directly but via a dentist in Wales, know to some ddk members.

The guy with the BRM engine contacted Terry to get the car off him less engine of course.

Terry's Stoic Racing, very little info to be found.

I did have some pics of his 911 engine car from a magazine he sent me, but all lost somewhere on this pc.

Clearly a man of taste as his 'fourteen' was orange and his R4 beige, just like mine.

They’ve totally changed the tread pattern on those, from my set. They used to not have that big spine down the middle, and the outer and inner slashes were broadly a reverse of each other

Keep up, Wayne, Toyo changed the R888 tread pattern about 4 or 5 years ago

I wore out my last set, significantly more of that wear on roads than on its circuit outings, but at least I tried to focus on A and B roads not m.ways.

Same again for this set: yes a few track days, plus road trips via the scenic routes.

I'm really impressed with this tyre. Sticky as heck, with stiff sidewall, but also (mostly) forgiving if you do need to do m/way miles.
Don't know how much of that is also down to the car model: I've only driven the tyre on the 914

Out of interest, how many (road) miles did you get out of them? I love the handling of my car on the R888Rs but swap to the other wheels with Dunlops for general road use.

Ha, I’ve got a set of 888s and a set of 888Rs, but maybe I don’t notice them any more as the Boxster sits on it’s slicks and they are in their covers! I have taken the Boxster off road duties as it just never gets driven, less now I need to change tyres…..

I have never worn a set out Keith, normally retire them after about 3 seasons when they are past their best. I reckon they would probably do 4 or 5k road miles if you weren’t too silly. The Rs are by far the best tyre for the Boxster, even my super soft slicks only tool 1.5 seconds off my best round Combe last weekend - they are incredibly good.
