Looking at the photo again, it confirms what I have long suspected about Doune, that there is a secret slot in the middle of the track which is only accessible to Scottish inhabitants that enables them to hurtle up the hill at incredible speed without touching either the wall or the armco!

Spoke to Bill briefly at Shelsley Walsh earlier today (Classic Nostalgia) - he was having a good weekend with 2 out of his 4 runs up to that point having resulted in PB's ...
