Looking for some technical help. This is a picture of what I think is a relatively original car. It has the same interior colour scheme as mine, blue with madras inlays. The parcel shelf in this is all blue.

Would this be the case or do others think it would be black to match the door caps?

Hi Tom,
Almost there now and your car is looking great. I definitely recommend the CDI+ unit. Due to a huge overspend on the restoration I wasn’t able to get my engine rebuilt so it was exactly the same as before the restoration. I don’t have any empirical evidence to prove this but adding the CDI+ made a big difference to how the engine felt.

I too have a muffler skirt on my 73 911E since it had one from the factory. I think they look good on certain cars like ours.

99% sure mine was blue and 99% sure it was original ............

Wasn't sure at first but I think it will work with the colour and the chrome.

Engine picture sent on my Gary, loving this. Heads to https://www.neilbainbridge.com/Home next week. Should be interesting.

Great progress Tom.Mike sent my engine down to Neils after rebuild.
Neil fitted solid rockers,then run it in on the dyno.Quite scary when you see the dyno in action.

Gary has been battering on with the car, despite me holding things up trying to source the right vinyl. Surprising how difficult it is to find the right colour of blue leatherette that would have come in the blue and madras interior. Finally managed to source what I think is as close to the original as I can. Some members on the Early 911s Registry were helpful with some images ad a few on here shared some interior shots. Southbound have shipped the blue carpet. All that is needed is the engine in and some more serious set up work can begin.

Number plates have been sent for the car.

Getting closer very day.

New windscreen in.

Might have to sell it Darren or the 2.7? Something will have to give, it has cost a fortune. Despite all this I bought a private plate for it yesterday.

Tom hope your well, at least let me see it before you decide I would be keeping the 2.7 all day long

All good Gary, hope all is good with you. Will definitely let you see the car, Gary Cook is doing an incredible job. Would love to keep everything and will be trying to make this happen. Will see how things end.

I need to build a new garage and it's killing me thinking sell a car to build the garage.....then no car to put in it.
