Nice wheels .

Thanks chaps, I ordered them unfinished, I have a plan....

So whilst the wheels went away (not that I need them just yet) I decided to start on the interior trim.

A couple of Bull Hides were ordered in the form of Connolly Vaumol, which is a period leather used in most high end cars during the 70s and 80s



I decided I would have a go at the door card myself, but the rest has gone off to the trimmer.







I also had a go at a custom keyring.

Another job ticked off the list was to make up the pipes to connect the front oil cooler to the hard lines already installed in the sill.

Every update carries a surprise.
Those cards are really nice and very tasteful imho.

I think if Jon makes it to CLM with this car he will win all the biscuits, here's hoping he does. Most great things come from the idea of just one man ( or woman ), this is a perfect example of this. In some ways it reminds me of some of the great British Grand Prix Teams ( think Tyrrel ) , one man . his vision and a shed !

I had been putting off the decision on wheels for ages as I couldn't decide what style, diameter, tyres etc. But eventually decided on the Group4 PAGs but I didn't want gold (even though it probably would have gone OK with the Green). Silver would have been OK but again wasn't sure.

So I ordered them raw and got them custom finished.



They were powder coated black, then the rims and spokes are diamond cut and finally the whole wheel powder coated again with a Satin clear coat, this has given the closest finish to anodising on the metal parts as I could get, and should be more durable than the 2k lacquer traditionally used when wheels are diamond cut.

This is going to look awesome, if not already.
