Not long now!

Took RSR for a few overdue little sortings ready for departure.

The trip to Mikes RSR launch resulted in a knackered damper on a pot hole from hell so the car has been treated to two new fast road rear Bilsteins.

Also sorted a small oil seal leak from gearbox selector and rear oil tank.

All new bushings for gearbox selector and its much more precise and with a lot less play which is nice.

Tiedied up a few nuts and clamps that had come a little loose and now just need a wheel alignment check before we head off and should be spot on.

Not much change from a grand but as I've spent nothing on it in 6 years and been all round UK and Europe numerous times (at 30mpg+....are you reading MFI boys? LoL) I'm not going to complain!!

Exhaust still dropping depth charges on command and nice long flames for the tunnels.

Now just need to work out how I get back from Hull on the Wednesday morning to my check in at East Mids airport with the family 4.5hrs later!!!! EEK.

Best have a beer while I think that over....

Don't know if this makes a difference (it should) to the museum visit but Porsche are running a special offer while we are there for the 50th Anniversary. Anyone going to the museum who can show they own a 911 get into the museum free!!

Be nice for us all to be able to give our entrance fee to DDK Macmillan instead?

Regarding other details, apart from ferries, hotels and Mondays factory tours, nothing else is included in the price so please make sure you bring enough euros for food, beer and any other activities you might want

GREAT NEWS FOR THOSE ON THE RESERVE LIST FOR THE FACTORY TOUR ... I'VE MANAGED TO GET A FEW MORE PLACES ADDED

On the Monday , we will be returning to the hotel following our tour of the classic resto department. We need to leave a good 45 mins travelling time + time to park the cars at the hotel + then walk to the Museum where we are being met. All in all I reckon we need to be leaving Porsche Classic at around 12:00 to ensure we do not miss our Factory tour.

Currently, the following are not coming on the factory tour, but I'm sure they can have a relaxing lunch / afternoon etc somewhere

Regarding the Hull Ferry, boarding starts at 16:30 .... doors close at 19:00. Not 100% , but I'm going to aim to be there for 17:30.

For anyone who hasn't been to Hull before, a good place to meet other DDK'ers before going through customs ( Lets see if I can actually make it through for once without being pulled by the customs lads ) etc is in this car park .

Glad you gave those times James as my invoice from 1st tickets states Check in is 19:00 rather than doors close and I was planning do a half day at work work and then driving up. Given boarding starts at 16:30 I'll take the day off and get oop to the delightful Hull a bit earlier.

Thanks for all of your hard work in organising this James - it's much appreciated and especially for squeezing Lesley and me in at short notice. We are really looking forward to meeting you all at Barden Barden.
