Very interesting article, but when they say another partially completed one was 'discovered' wasn't this in fact at the Wheatcroft Donnington Museum years ago (when I went there in the 70s with the Porsche Club!) and in fact one of the photos in the article looks as if it could be from there.

Oh, the RS was definitely a one-off. But how about the SC?

I guess a high number of the 914 GTs out there nowadays might actually more accurately be called 914 SCs, by dint of the engines they run.

I badged mine SC when I put, err, an SC engine in it

That's a very good question. About 11 or 12 I think, some went to Australia and Hong Kong I believe where at the time you couldn't drive a left hand drive car on the road. I'm sure Ian MacMath will be along in a minute with more information. The conversion cost was £631 apparently.

AFAIK, 11, of which two went to Australia. Was looking it up this morning.

11 is correct, according to the invoices I have.
The invoices show,
1 to Hong Kong
1 to Australia
1 to Cyprus
5 to Malaya Garage in Billingshurst
1 to a guy in Tunbridge Wells
1 to London
1 to Woking
According to my records, and the team at Crayfords my car was the first one converted, it was bought by the boss of Crayfords in a dealers in Dussledorf (as he was unable to buy one in the UK), it started life in Tangerine and was painted white sometime after then.
the car in that poster , MPX , a blue car was owned by a Rene Beziat in London some time ago.

There are a few Non-Crayford RHD cars about.
I am in conversation with a guy down under he also knows of a couple of cars overthere--not necessarily Crayfords.

There was a small brochure produced, in black & white which showed my car under construction--I have only ever seen 1 of these brochures and it happens to be infront of me now.
