Re: 1973 911 E RHD - Gemini Blue
Gary has been busy. I would love to redact all of the prices from the pages of parts Gary has ordered but still feel this would be giving away too much detail /knowledge of what is required to rebuild a car. I can only assume that the master list has been built from years of experience. 3 or 4 pages of nuts, bolts, screws, seals, cables, etc. It just goes on and on.
My car is sitting in a queue, work should start in a couple of months.

Car had to back to bare metal, the paint hadn't taken due to bad practice, I believe it sat in primer for too long and this allowed moisture to get in or at least something that then meant the paint could be peeled from the shell. Absolute nightmare.

The dashtop looks amazing. Who was the trimmer?Tp81 wrote:I finally managed to find some time to collect my dash and other parts which have been recovered. Very pleased with the reult.

Thanks everyone, its great to see the car making progress. Still struggle with it because of what the project has become - cash drain.
Gary is doing an incredible job and I am looking forward to seeing it up close, I should really schedule a trip down. Mike Bainbridge has finished the engine recently and its due on the dyno at Neil Bainbridge in 2 or 3 weeks time. Neil rebuilt the MFi pump sometime ago so it feels right to have everything checked and run in on the dyno.
I am looking forward to seeing how it performs, spec is 2.4e with s pistons and original e cams. Should be a nice combination.

Ref that engine.
My first diy build was that spec, Bob Watson assured me it would be fabulous.
He was not wrong, 180 BHP on Osselli's rollers, Bob tuning it.
Lovely feel to the engine, you will not be dissapointed.
