Rod Leach's Lotus 11 GT, alongside one of the many Cobras that have passed through his hands. I'd be happy with either of them...

.

The Cobra looks like it might be 'COB 1' - which, when I last saw it ~ 35 yrs ago had 800 bhp ...

I've got a few pictures of it somewhere (taken at Silverstone) .

Neil - that 'MG' is a one-off radically modified TF with a mid Rover V8 engine mated to a Boxster transmission ...

I used to drool over Rod Leach's adverts... I wonder if anyone has had more Cobras pass through his hands than him?

I used to love his adverts in Motor Sport, I bought a poster of COB 1 from Rod Leach's stand at the motor show in about 1982 - I think at Earl's Court - and got him to sign it. I probably still have it somewhere.

I think cob1 was featured in the ‘ I spy’ number plates book I had as a young kid. Feature on it and owned by an elder lady who’d been done for speeding in it … as a youngster, that car in the book was my dream car
