Hens teeth
Ferrari 456 GT Venice
Made at the request of the Brunei royal family. They had to buy 6 at $1.5mil each, designed by Pininfarina https://www.carrozzieri-italiani.com/li ... gt-venice/

The Sultan of Brunei shared this infatuation, because in the late 1990s he ordered not one, but twenty one Ferrari 456s for himself and his family. As you might have guessed, though, these were no ordinary 456 GTs, far from it. The Sultan commissioned seven examples each of three different versions of the 456 GT, all under the umbrella name ‘456 GT Venice’. You might have seen the shooting brake variant occasionally resurface on various online forums, while there was also a sedan version, and one 456 GT Venice was even rumoured to have been fitted with a full night vision system. However, if you’re like us, this is the first time you’ll have ever seen one of these: an ultra-rare 456 GT Venice Cabriolet.

I suspect wind tunnel testing didn't figure too much in the build process...

~300bhp at 10,800rpm from 1100cc wasn't too shabby though ...

I've not seen any 'after' pictures James but the Fire Brigade were quick to arrive & got the fire extinguished fairly rapidly so I'm sure the car will be salvageable ...

Great photo Mike - I remember secondhand car dealers (set up on bomb sites) just like that when I was growing up ...

In 1971 I bought my 1937 Ford Y Type, not for £27/10 but £100.
I think they were £100 new.
Grill was like the one above back then…. :)
