That’s a California Keith if I’m not mistaken - the Singer Chamois had twin headlights -I’ll get my anorak!!
My Dad’s first car was an SC - I would love to get one and restore for him, come close a couple of times.
I had a Calibra for a couple of years - quite a grin with the red top 16v engine. Sold it when I got a company car and it formed the entire deposit for my first flat. We had it easy in those days….

My oldest friend from school days had a string of Imps, his first was an old Schweppes van, but finished the run off with a 998 Sport, 9000 rpm red line all day.
Buzzed to every drag meeting at Santa Pod in the very early 70’s.
Great days, hot rods then for both of us there after before the American Graffitied film hit.
Imps are great.

I think you
are mistaken Wayne !
I'm not by any means an Imp expert but the 'Californian' was a Hillman-badged model - the one Keith posted is a Singer - more accurately called a Singer Chamois Coupe.
From memory later cars
did get twin headlamps though ...

Ah, darn it!
I thought the California always had a fast back. Those pesky English manufacturers with their shared parts bin / models.
I bow to your superior knowledge Sir!
My fathers SC was def a later one with twin headlights

We have a guy in Birmingham who does this and tortures some big corps with his often rude but hilarious shenanigans take a look at @fokawolk on instagram. Makes me laugh sometimes

Pescarolo Helmet resplendent with new handmade to fit visor from Bob Heaths down the road. £30. Can’t say fairer than that.
Was looking at the amazing memorabilia in the workshop inc a letter to Bob in 1972 from Triumph confirming and extra £25 from Castrol for a class win at Thruxton!
