Sorry James - another car I've owned ...
A 1966 BMW 2000Ti - I had one ('KLN 111D') as my everyday car back in ~ 1972/'73.
I think I might even still have a (small) photo of it somewhere - will have a dig around

I'd really like a nicely tuned 2002. I almost bought one on BaT a few years ago. The only BMW I've owned so far was a Z3M Coupe "Bread van " really enjoyed driving it.
In an effort to remedy the situation, at the opposite end of the scale to a 2002 , I put a deposit on this yesterday..

Bought it on line , never driven or even sat in one, but YouTube reviews ( including Henry Catchpole of EVO ) seem to really rate them . A good friend of mine had one and he said it was fantastic and he regrets selling it ( amongst other things he owned at the time were a 1972 CSL Batmobile which he had restored at BMW classic in Germany and as an aside Colonel Gadaffi's old helicopter ! )
Really looking forward to collecting it in a couple of weeks
