Unusual to see 2 Ghiblis together (especially when one's a Spyder) other than at a Maserati specialist's - is that at the airfield where you keep your plane ?

It was a while ago but one of the auction houses did a photo shoot on the airfield.

That's right - I bought it from him about five years ago. Tom had it restored by Alfaholics ( it's also got a lot of their tuning bits , suspension etc fitted ) the only thing that hadn't been done when I got it was the engine, so I had it fully rebuilt by Peter Smart Classic Alfas a couple of years ago. It's a fantastic car.
I occasionally think about selling it, then I go for a drive and change my mind immediately !

John would drive this to the hill climbs, thrash it and drive happily home.
His wife the same, her car next to the '250'.
He recently went into space....

From memory that's one of GTO Engineering's 'toolroom copies' - using a 250 GTE donor ... lovely.
I remember seeing it at one of Brightwell's auctions early last year & thinking "if only ..."

Yes, it was from the #red# stable of Jon Goodwin, part of his well used Ferrari collection.
He offered me the keys for a test drive in it a few years ago, but I didn't want the responsibility.
He used to regularly race it in the UK Ferrari Hillclimb Challenge.
A very nice gent.
Famously went into space last year or the year before, Olympic level competitor back in the day, walked all over the highest peaks across the world, and a lot more, quite a CV.
