To be fair, I didn't recognise him either - & I saw LZ live many times in their (very) early days ...

I grew up with Zeppelin when at tech college in the late 60’s, the best.

Nice picture. Hope that trolley jack held firm.
Remember my brother had a blue 1800 Marina on twin SU's. About 40years ago while he was student at Norwich. Car actually went quite well. Also the time a wheel bearing seized on it and my dad set off in the snow to try and fix it.

Quite a common sight around by me in the 70s.
Most used those steel ramps though.
Still have mine from the period, not used them for decades.

A weekly occurrence for me back in the early '70's when my everyday car was a TVR Grantura - replaced just about every mechanical component (as well as numerous electrical & interior jobs) in the street in all weathers over the 6 yrs I owned it !

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I remember as a kid finding a gearbox down by the beach, would have been the late eighties. Many years later, working on my own car (probably in shitty weather, but definitely on the street) my stepdad was telling me about one time him and a pile of mates babyed his mk1 Escort down to the beach with a pile of tools between them and swapped out a sickly gearbox...

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
After building the model of a '50s tethered race car, had a request for another.
Bought a more modern glow plug engine and silencer to get more of a comic look to this one.
Going to be a Xmas pressie for a special couple in the family.
