More changes

Been thinking about this one for over a year and recently decided to take the plunge. With help from Nige and Defianty I narrowed down the right orange - I wanted something like blood orange. In the end I took the closest orange they had to the pantone orange.

At the same time they removed my black 'PORSCHE' letters from the engine lid. I've bought some of the small metal letters to go into their place - will pop up further pics once that's done.

Anyway here's the pics - I'm pretty pleased with the result

That is cool Mark, but personal view is I wouldn't put any lettering back on the engine lid, as it will spoil the clean lines of the stripes - me thinks.

Porsche bonnet badge is good, as it is central - I do have a 'symmetrical' problem don't I :-)

Hi Ian,

On the lettering front I'll be putting the original small metal letters on - I've delayed putting them on until after the stripe so I could make sure it works with the black lines.

Cheers

Have I missed something ?

When did you swap the s-spoiler ?

Car is looking superb mark 8) Are you camping @ the classic?

Keep up James!

A tow truck managed to damage the old spoiler and I had fancied a smoother one for a while - bought one of lightweight andy - he told me he was glad I was buying it as it was the only thing wrong with my car! Have to say I'm delighted with the smoother look.

Then came the door handles, then an iron cross on the wheel hub cover (changed my mind and removed it) and now the stripe. Yep you're up to speed now

Yes I'm camping at CLM - in Karting Nord - currently waiting for my tickets - looking forward to seeing everyone there

Cheers

Bit more of an update

Christmas 2008 I fitted elephant racing poly bushes to the rear
Ages ago I switched to silver engine cover.
A couple of months ago I fitted boxster front calipers

This Christmas however I've been working on the exhaust - fitted 993 Heat Exchangers and triple out M&K back box

Drove it into work this morning - within half a mile I felt the droning was too loud, but byt he time I got to work I was starting to like it - don't know if it settled down at all or I got used to it - also very hard to judge on crowded icy roads - looking forward to trying it out properly and judging the sound

BTW - I'm talking about the capped sound here - the uncapped is CONSIDERABLY louder - sound is very DEEP

that back box has a much nicer fit though Mark and RBs old system is one the best I have heard on a 911
