Hand Brake modification using standard Karmann Ghia cable with the Porsche calipers, rotors.
This was my solution,
Purchase a modification kit from aircooled specialist which contained an aluminium extension piece and a new profile shape swan neck

The actual cable was approx 10mm short so machined down an M10 bolt with a M6 internal thread for the cable.

With the hand brake down at the lowest position the cable is just long enough to clear the VW h/brake bracket preventing any chance of binding when pulling the handbrake up and releasing.
I believe it's a very simple low cost solution. I seems to work well.
Onto the next task, find someone to make me a wiring harness loom.

I have been exploring the use of a bodylogic controller to give greater options and remove the need for bulky and complex array of Fuses and relays. I have sent my spec off for quotation. They are british designed and made electronics. Also fully IVA compliant. Looks very promising.
