I don't know how you can get any work done waiting for the delivery of such a wonderful car

No Derek, it's too cold for camping, I've got an old caravan at the workshop.

Well, I've been down a few times but didn't contribute much so I'm trying to keep out the way. Nick, bless him, has been kindly sending through images as it progresses, some of the shots are his.

wow, this is looking simply amazing. Paul, you are as bad as me taking close up shots of all the detail - but don't stop i love it.

good stuff Paul and Nick. Seeing the picture above with chrome edge rear len I'm beginning to think black trim would visually work better than chrome. But hey its not my car and eitherway its going to be the shizzle, well it is already.

Yeah, I'm resisting any such influences Nige. We've had opinion that black would be better for windows, fuel tank, lights, grilles, trim etc but I'm sticking by chrome/silver to external appearances. Plenty of black inside and underneath though.
I think it'll look good and that it will be correct for period too.
And like you say, it's my choice anyway.

you can always go round with a satin black aerosol afterwards

I will also get around to putting up some shots of the engine build but that's a whole new chapter and you'll have to wait a while.
Meanwhile here's what we started with.
I wanted mag cases and Nick turned up some 7R's in good shape.
