Paul, thanks.
Really starting to come together.
I stopped in today at the bodyshop with my RS (CS wings going on for a car show in late August and a road trip to Skye in September). The front spoiler needed some work so its getting stripped and painted.
They have fitted the dash, headlights with HID kit, indicators, stainless steel mesh grilles for the lower GTA style intakes. New mesh has been order in anodized black stainless steel for the main grille which should work well with the chrome Alfa centre heart. Lots of the cars that are restored go for a new stainless grille but my car is a very basic GT 1300 Junior, I want to keep the original mesh colour to give the car some link back to the base model. The bodyshop are tidying up cables and wires as they go, sleeving and rerouting to make everything as neat as possible. The steering column had some snapped plastic lugs and was held together with a tie wrap, these have been repaired and screwed together nice and tight.
Cheers
Tom

Sooooo nice.
Every Alfa engine I've seen has a slight slant to it, but what a build this is.
It will be interesting to see how all that sound deadening works to kill road noise but hopefully allow the engine notes to ring clear.

I'll be very interested too, as once my 911 comes back I need to sort some lightweight sound deadening

Car slowly moving forward, the fuel tank has seen better days so this will be replaced.
...the garage happen to be restoring a Gemini blue 911 (ex DDK car), same colour as mine. Nice to see both together.

great looking car, if anyone is looking for a nice junior or giulia super Balocco classics are a good company to deal with, i've brought 2 off him and both better than expected plus he will do any modifacations as he uses all alfaholics components.

that is such a pretty car
I saw the guy who has one near me again last night - his is the same red, but about 3" lower, with a yellow band across the front and with bronze/gold wheels.. we were happily driving along at about 25-30mph on a road that was "gritted" that morning by the council, and were overtaken by some middle-class tweed cap wearing c*** in a frazer-nash who sprayed both of us in stone-chips
