That is actually me who started that thread. Interesting indeed but in my opinion, it's still difficult to make a clear decision in the end. Still open for opinions...

Reading over it, i came to realize that i did indeed reach out to you about the reproduction monte carlo button. Since you didn't seem to get any leads on that matter, i suppose there are no actual plans yet to tackle that subject?........Congratulations on that 36cm prototipo, i remember talking to the owner when he inquired on the pelican.....To feed the picture hunters, here is a 38cm momo sebring i recently acquired...
Hi Robi,

Lovely Sebring 8) ......yes, the guy selling the Proto in Canada was somewhat perplexed by the interest in his wheel, in the end he let me have it at a fair price by blocking a few potential bidders!....

...as for the Monte horn push, I did produce a few which turned out ok (my attempt below) although I couldn't get the design produced in a bright enough silver finish.....if I can find a foil type production process that can replicate the logo more accurately I'll try again....

Cheers,

.....interesting thread Robi.....

....if I came across a Monza like that I would have certainly initially regarded it as a reproduction of some sort......but then I'm no expert and who knows! :?

Thanks for your opinion Darren. To me, nothing ran a bell that it even might be repro, remake or anything like that. Which only shows i still have lots to learn as some people do have suspicions.

Please keep me posted if and when you come to giving that horn button another try.

@ burma-shave: that wheel is an example of an enthusiast having a go with steering wheel modding. I know the seller, he always has these 'special' steering wheels to offer... Does have some nice stuff from time to time but just don't expect any of them to be original rare pieces.

Continuing the Italvolanti theme...one from my stash. Special Wishes did not necessarily mean good taste. The finish on it though is first class.
