Slowly making progress, fitting the headlining is always one of those jobs that in my head I don't look forward to but when I actually make myself get on with it I quite enjoy it. One of those parts of the car that is very satisfying once it's done.
Since I'm converting to the pop out rear quarter windows I needed to add the fixings, the holes are already present so I just added rivnuts.
Next the headlining is suspended from the rods.
Stretched and glued front and rear.
Stretched and glued side to side before finally fitting the C-Pillars
I used the rods to tension the bottom.
A while ago I bought a NOS pair of mirrors.
A bit nerve-racking to fit them as I had to drill through the door top trim but the came out well.

This is going to be (already is) a stunning car - & great to see someone who's still prepared to 'do his own thing' & not bow down to the investment brigade ...

Nice mirrors! I see you've got them on more of a angle, mine almost touch the glass. They do look great in chrome.

I couldn't get them to sit right without using the angled base, they were hard against the glass, and in any-case I need them further out to see past the arches!

Yep going with the soft option this year after last years wash out! But I'll come and find you lot at some stage.
Transferred the money for the wheels this evening so that's one of the items off the list. Mind you the tyres will cost more than the wheels
