I rest my case about the handling!

Need big muscles and cojones to wrestle a Gullwing like that. 'Fortunately' when driving Delwyn's everything happened at much lower speeds in the wet... It was an eye opener.

Can you imagine trying to drive that at up to 150mph for 1000miles.
I was really surprised as I thought it would have really good handling.

To my understanding of terms:
Road holding is the ability of a car to grip the road, a 911 has more road holding than an Austin 7
Handling is the ease with which you can control a car, a 911 has better handling than an Austin 7

So you can have a great car with great grip, but to get the best out of it you need it to have great handling.

An expert drive (however you qualify that) will find a way to find grip by mastering the handling.

I cannot because of a lack of driving skill of a car at the limit.

I felt this Gullwing was a car with good grip and very good handling in the right hands. The recovery at certain points was out of this world on such a confined space such is hill climbing and it's thrill.

listening to Spikes car radio, zuckerman whos just sold a gullwing, but still has a roadster, actually prefers the drive of the roadster as it has some improvements .. saying that, he wants a gullwing again so maybe heart over head always wins the game with these

Definitely heart over head cars. Despite my seemingly 'anti' post, I love them and feel privileged to have the opportunity to drive and work on one (even if it did only cost the owner around £2K. A few years ago, mind...).
