The 'Maverick' Classic Porsche Forum and Classic Porsche Club for Porsche 356, Aircooled Porsche 911, Porsche 912, Porsche 914 & Porsche Replicas. 'We join for the cars but stay for the people'
That edition of 'Supercar Classics' was the one with the Gulf Orange RS on the cover.
The car belonged to Ann Johns (who lived just off Holland Park Ave) but it wasn't one of the first 500 (it was '0928').
The phone number in the Motorsport advert is from the Teddington/Hampton area - Mike (Birtwistle) might be able to identify/shed more light on the car but unfortunately he doesn't seem to visit DDK much anymore ...

I’m here every day Andy and enjoying your write up on your ‘new’ 911. Good to see you back to the Marque. Other than that you realise that I’m also with a new unfamiliar (to me) model and reading and learning as I go. I posted the other week about my oil temp gauge and you were kind enough to reply. Still grappling with that issue. The last few months have been hectic in another area as I have now retired from my ‘dental’ practice and that has taken up far more time than I ever thought it would.
As to James’s post above I really can’t shed any further light on which chassis number it is. There would have been a chance if even the colour had been mentioned. It also says ‘full lightweight trim’ which confusingly could mean an original 471 or a converted 472. It’s not even RHD which would have helped nor is the country of first registration mentioned as it is a LHD RS. I fear there is just not enough in the ad to nail it down.
Regards
Mike

Strong money, but then it has done half the mileage of an average car. Looks like RS suspension settings as looks about the same height as mine. Love it

Shame it’s rhd. That’s fair money these days as not many manual c2 about. I too don’t like the interior and prefer the spec of the green Paul Stephen’s one
Agree the PS one is a lovely car and looks great in green. No idea of price though expect to be higher than average given the recent level of work
