The place is so remote, even more so way back then, hard to imagine so many making their way there in those days.
Lots of fast Porsche's there next weekend. And then me!

You are so right there! This is our kitchen wall, or The Shrine.....

Fane has been a hero of mine since childhood, and this year something very special indeed happened..... I was invited to compete at Shelsley in his car. I said YES very quickly. The enormity of the offer took weeks to sink in.....
And it rained on the day, but still what a car, what an honour, what a day...

The weather has turned, it’s wet, it’s grey - can mean only one thing….
The lad and I have come away in the bus for a few nights on the coast!

There were 2 of them at Shelsley this weekend.
That is Rodney’s one, along with Simon Durling’s beautiful Alpine.

And the other is owned by Will Gough who will be driving it at my last Loton Park drivers' school next Wednesday.
The interior is as big an adventure as the outside!

GM 'borrowed' spaceframe technology from Mercedes' SL for the mag-bodied Corvette SS. Racing for Maserati at Sebring '57, Fangio took it for a spin in practice and promptly set fastest lap. GM pulled out of competition before the skunkworks project could reach its potential
