Imagine turning up to a hillclimb in that.

Now to my mind, that is dang cool. And it’s the rare two door. And the grill reminds me of the General Lee! But then, I am a near 50 yr old dad who should know better
That said, the retro rides show was full of Volvos, all of the 240 / 740 types, with hybrid turbos of DIY design and a very young 20 ish following. Reminded me of my youth with Volkswagens….

My Dad had a couple of 240glt estates and additional my first rear wheel drive car I drove was one his 240glt estates after he sold it to a neighbour of ours . I’ve got a real soft spot for them. Decent ones if you can find them are strong money these days

But did they have to do that to the ride height and wheel camber?

Big hill climb championship event at Prescott for me, but just 2 in the class, the evil EVOMini and the Lola,
We have been moved 3 time across the paddock to the outer fringes....
You need a single seater nowadays to get a good spot in the sloping paddock.
Monsoon weekend coming and my dry slicks may not help me.

Amazing what you can do with a hammer and chisel.

Fabulous cars - would still love a Vitesse. My best memory of the SD1 is borrowing Janspeed's Turbo Vitesse. When I went to collect it from the factory, Jan Odor came out and said that it's just been fitted with new tyres, which needed to be scrubbed in, at which point he went roaring off in the Rover and came back two minutes later and said 'It's OK now, I spun the wheels a few times. You're good to go...'. Happy days of being a motoring journo in the 1970s...
