Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Not too bad really.
The car was last on the rollers at Bob's when you last saw it, so long overdue a tune up.
The timing needed a bit of a tweak with the magnetic system, but not far out.
Chokes were out of balance but readily balanced before the runs.
The power runs were something to behold when the car was at full throttle in 3rd, about 130 mph and it sounded so loud and gutsy, really nice to witness, esp as a self build.
After a few runs we decided to leave the mixture slightly Rich ( as Bob had set it) so called it a doy.
259 BHP and 239 lbft and it sounds great even ticking over.
Other plus points were the rear tyres were hot right across their 14" of tread, so rear geo is good and the cooling system stayed at mid point throughout.
Hoping to upload a video I took on the phone, but have a glitch on the phone at the moment..

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
There was a bit more, we were not at the rev limit, but close.
Torque was 200Lbft @ 3K and 230 @5k, and the power 'curve' a straight line from 2400 to 6400.
Ben at BHP does a very wide range of cars, a full-on Cobra Coupe, real, was next on the rollers after the Lola with the sweetest looking small block Ford I've ever seen.
3 x classic Mustangs last week and a real GT40 tomorrow, followed by a Ford KA rally car.
Lots pf people getting ready for Donnington.
Andy might spot the Zagato Bristol having the Bristol engine done up on the ramps, it's a 2 door coup, really unusual.
I still can't get over the sound of it pulling so hard in 3rd, does not sound like that from where I sit, but others have commented on the tone the car make when getting on with it.
Have to say, lifted my MoJo a country mile.

Yep, will be fabulous when done which must be soon, but he's been distracted by 2 wheels.
