I'm interested to know what that bar is running across the back seats. The back seats do have a tendency to flop forward but I've never seen this solution before.

love speedsters .. do think the narrow body 964 speedster ( when lowered ) looks much better though Having toured the Alps with Boydy in his , id say its the perfect car for the full alpine experience

7 years ago you could defo still get all the bits from Porsche to turn a 964 cab or Targa into a Speedster.
That's John Thornton's old car - he raced it for several years before his death ~ 5 or 6 years ago.
I had a ride in it back in 2011 (when I was over in the US for Rennsport Re-union) & had a few beers with John - along with Bob Tilton & a few others.
The car had/has some neat individual touches ...
