Received a picture of my dash from my trimmer. Looking forward to seeing this, looks good.

I’d be interested to see the grain on this material sometime Tom. Workmanship looks great.

Sorry to hear of your issues Tom but I think you are in good hands now so hopefully the impact is manageable. I fully agree that DDK and some of the people on here are very helpful and make the pains of early 911 ownership bearable and the joys of driving them unbeatable. Darren is a gem. I still struggle with the idea of restoring a car based on my experiences but I admire greatly those who do.

Onwards and upwards. Keep the progress reports and pictures coming.

V interested in that dashboard,is it original recovered .........I’ve been dithering around for best/most economical way to do rhd for ‘71 s and al so sons 2.4 s..........has the dash cost much?

Vic, I had the dash repaired and recovered. It had some really bad cracks, these were repaired with fibre glass and sanded . He has also recovered the door mouldings and rear window trim / mouldings. I have new old stock door pockets and was hoping to get the speakers done but these are out of shape and I will look to source replacements.

Relatively inexpensive.

Sorry to hear about your problems. The good news is that Gary in now on it so it will get sorted and done well. He has worked on so many 1973 cars, as you know.

Thks Tom .......I m still dithering Ekert say rhd their manufacture abt £650 ..........just haven’t seen them: on ‘71 car tried filling cracks,was really bad so worth a try and little to loose .......appearance good but cracking in one place already,on ‘73 car totally untouched couple of sun type drying out cracks .........I think both wud benefit from some who can cover like urs...........I don’t want a seam from using leather..........more dithering!

I finally managed to find some time to collect my dash and other parts which have been recovered. Very pleased with the reult.

Superb....that is an admirable skill...he deserves to get more work...if he wants it of course...shrinking/stretching and forming by hand.....I assume .....over such a complex shape is not easy....
