Glad to be of help Nick. Keep your eyes peeled for more instruction. Just make sure those window frames aren't black.

Looking good :)

Isn't the spring on the oil door back to front?

I know I'm new here and I know nothing about these wonderful cars but if I can chip in... Torsion springs should always be used by "winding up" the spring not "unwinding" it so if the photo taken shows the oil door open then I agree it is on back to front.

I am a springmaker in real life!

Car looks fantastic though! Love the colour and that wing mirror is a thing of beauty.

Thanks Anthony, we're going to have to concede to your evident knowledge on this matter. You are hereby the 'spring meister'.
The members of this forum can seemingly enlighten us on just about any topic.
Nick's going to stop me posting pictures at this rate.

It's the only area of expertise i can claim. It's only a small area, not very impressive and bores the s**t out of people at parties but it is mine. :)

I could probably help if anyone is ever looking for any of the million and one little springs that are present on these cars. I work for a bespoke spring manufacturer so nothing "off the shelf" but we can make pretty much anything spring wise.
