.. And here she is. Loaded and ready for a trip to Classic Le Mans 2010

I'm very pleased with the result.
Many thanks to all those, and there's many, who helped me in some way in this restoration. Special thanks to Barry for the body work, and his buddy Alan for the paint, to Helen who stored the car whilst I had the kitchen rebuilt, to Bert and James who retrieved the Targa bar

, Alan.UK for the chrome, to Smallspeed and Gary71 for impetus when it was most needed, Chris at GCR Central for allsorts of bits and bobs. any one else who helped in many small and different ways.
The Journey started in Nov 2005, believe it or not, when I discovered that the old Targa shell was terminally rusty. Now with its inaugural DDK event, I think I can declare it finished, not that it ever will be, there's a 2.4 high compression motor to build for it yet

Most of all I have to thank Mrs Impmad and my son Antony for putting up with me !
And my advice for any one else attempting such a project - Dont !! Just sell the parts and buy one that works !!

Well, after the joys of making France for CLM, and living with the car for 6 months, I have until now been disappointed. The EFI system was giving loads of trouble. Brilliant one day, rubbish the next. I kept being tempted with glimpse of what it could do, only to have my hopes dashed next time I drove it. Parked it over winter and didn't think too much. Had a tiinker with the EFI on a test bench, found a setting was wrong (between christmas and new year ) and corrected it. Not really touched the car since then.
This weekend I took it out....
Wow ! What a difference ! Utterly driveable, screams like a bashee, and a treat to drive. Suddenly the car has come alive. So much so that I've taken it to work this morning.... and out for a "gentle pootle" over lunch !
Can't help grinning

Very much looking forward to the summer now, and re-learning why these cars are good !
Now where's my list of little jobs to finish off ?

Have similarly lost faith in mine - hopefully getting it back from Wayne Schofield end of this week with the faith restored so looking forward to similar levels of joy and reunion with the car I know and love.

Are you still running the original Triumph injectors?

Can't believe a EFI/electrical stuff God such as yourself would make silly mistake on injector spec
